Since 2005, Manatee Children Services has collaborated with several local universities to provide many internship opportunities to students studying social work and mental health programs. Because of the confidential nature of our programs, MCS requires all prospective interns to complete an interview as well as all background screening requirements.

The Goals Of Our Internship Program
Providing students with an opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills obtained in an academic setting to real-life situations
Educating students on the structure, policy, procedures, and operations of a non-profit organization
Assisting our interns in successfully transitioning from student to a career in social services
Developing and refining critical thinking and problem-solving techniques
Exposing interns to diverse careers opportunities within child welfare and mental health fields
for our internship program.
