Pre-School
- Third Grade
This 30 minute presentation includes a lively puppet
presentation, group interaction, story telling, and
discussion. Curriculum will focus on the "touching
rule" and important safety measures. Children will learn
to identify private parts and gain a knowledge of body
ownership. Because this age group contains the greatest number
of high risk children, emphasis is placed on allocating
support persons in the event of attempted or actual sexual
abuse. The presentation will utilize follow up activity
packets and parent letters for continued reinforcement of this
information.
Fourth
- Sixth Grade
Participants will gain the knowledge of how to protect themselves from bullying situations and become a positive bystander. Also, students will grasp a full understanding of what respect is and how to achieve respect from peers.
Seventh
- Twelfth Grade
Participants will have a variety of topics regarding dating violence, sexual harassment, the impact of rape, men as a part of the solution, power and control, and communicating sexual limits & refusal skills. These subjects are designed through appropriate curriculum to assist the participants in the understanding of prevention of sexual violence.
