What is BRIC? The BRIC program provides positive parenting education and support for the families of Manatee County. BRIC offers 10 weeks of individual parenting education, followed up with 10 group sessions focused on sharing and support. Our primary goal is to assist parents and caregivers in recognazing their strengths and identifying effecive ways to reduce the stress in their lives. Major Topics include: Empathy Self-Esteem Effective Communication Behavioral Management Develomental Stages   Culture and Values Coping Mechanisms Limits/Boundaries Familial Roles Personal Safety   10 Ways to be a Better Parent.... Be a role model. Spend time with your children. Praise your children. Show affection. Be a teacher. Respect your children. Listen to your children. Discipline with love. Realize your job is never done. Ask for help.
